Session 3: Leclerc is on pole, it’s a mess!

Leclerc started the session very well, during which the name to win pole position will be determined, and by clocking 1:11.376 in the first fast laps, he obtained a difference of 0.2 seconds compared to his opponent the closer and was able to temporarily take pole position. After the first straights, Leclerc was followed by teammate Carlos Sainz, while Red Bull drivers Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen took 3rd and 4th places.

After the first rights, Fernando Alonso had started the best, followed by Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Sebastian Vettel and Esteban Ocon. It was used on Norris, Hamilton, Russell and Ocon in the opening laps, while the others had fresh tyres.

The drivers were trying to improve their ratings after their second time on the track. Leclerc, notably the fastest of the weekend, looked set to improve on his pole position with the best time in the first sector, but Perez’s crash caused the session to be terminated prematurely.

McLaren driver Lando Norris continued his strength in practice and managed to be the best of the remaining 5th. He was followed by George Russell from Mercedes and Alonso from Alpine.

While Lewis Hamilton was 8th, Sebastian Vettel, who managed to go until the last session, was 9th. Although Esteban Ocon made it to the final session, he couldn’t get past tenth position.

Session 2: Leclerc becomes leader again, Perez is closely followed

Leclerc’s superior form continued in the second qualifying session. Leclerc, who was the fastest in all but the 3rd training session, became the first player to break the 1:12 mark in the 2nd qualifying session. Leclerc was the quickest clocking 1:11.864 at the end of the session. Leclerc missed a call for the scale in Session 2, but was quickly stopped and pushed back into the scale by the mechanics.

Especially Sergio Perez, who managed to get very close to Leclerc today, finished the second session 0.090 seconds behind him, followed by Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen, who couldn’t get close to the front this weekend. .
